We like to think sailing is for everyone but sadly, it isn’t. It is important to know that sailing and the ocean can be quite challenging and active at times. Infants and toddlers may find themselves uncomfortable when restricted to an area, it is uncertain how will a child react to a day at sea and the boat’s regular hazards. Expecting mothers should exercise caution, we do not recommend sailing since mommy and baby may be exposed to some risks. If you are experiencing a medical condition such as heart problems, muscular issues or any condition that might limit your movement, sailing might not be as fun and therefore, we do not recommend it. Once you complete your reservation, we’ll be sending you our “Adventure Questionnaire” so we can get to know you better and learn of any restrictions that could affect the outcome of your trip.
The way we react to motion is unique for each person, depending on your experience and time in the sea. If you have not visited a boat in a while, we suggest taking a motion sickness medication. This will allow you to make the most of your day and avoid getting sick on your way to fun. Over-the-counter antihistamines like Bonine and Dramamine are the most commonly recommended motion sickness medications.
Yes. We use all US Coast Approved equipment and follow all safety measurements established by federal law.
Smoking is allowed on designated areas of the boat, established by the captain. It is not allowed to throw cigarette tips in the ocean.
Sailing destinations are recommended by our captain and approved by you, taking in consideration weather and ocean conditions. Your captain will suggest the destination that offers the most favorable conditions to sail and encounter an isolated beach. Adventure Day Sails and Sailing Lessons explore the waters off the coast of Fajardo while the Overnight Charters sail further off to the SVI’s, USVI’s and BVI’s islands.
Standard boarding times are flexible if coordinated in advance when you book your reservation. All information will be confirmed once booking is complete.
